The varied museum landscape in the Altmark
The Altmark's museums are worth a visit. Whether it's the open-air museum in Diesdorf, the Altmärkisches Museum in Stendal, the Prignitz Museum in Havelberg, the Danneil Museum in Salzwedel or the town museums of Tangermünde, Gardelegen or Osterburg – many interests are covered here. Even "specialists" get their money's worth: In the Bismarck Museum in Schönhausen, for example, guests can learn all about the "Iron Chancellor", in the Lombards Workshop in Zehtlingen they can learn a lot about the way of life of our oldest ancestors, in the Turmuhrenmuseum in Seehausen they can see lovingly restored exhibits from times gone by, or in the Winckelmann Museum in Stendal they can learn interesting facts about the founders of antiquity research. You can also see the world's largest Trojan horse there in the courtyard.
