Blue Belt
The »Blue Belt« initiative of the state of Saxony-Anhalt is committed to the development of water tourism. Numerous major rivers, such as the Saale, Elbe, Unstrut and Havel, run right through Saxony-Anhalt.
Along the rivers, former kings and emperors have left significant monuments of architecture and art. Along the Elbe and its tributaries you can admire many of these memorials, such as Luther's places of work in Wittenberg, the Bauhaus in Dessau and the Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz. Equally admirable is the nature along the rivers.
